Emergency (Safety) Shower & Combination Shower/ Eye Wash Station  Testing, Servicing and Repairs

It is a little known fact that there are stringent guidelines for the testing of Emergency Showers & Eye Wash Stations, AS4775 requires that Emergency Showers and Eye Wash Stations be activated weekly for a period long enough to verify operation and ensure that flushing fluid is available.

AS4775 also requires that all Emergency Showers, Emergency Eye Wash Units, Emergency Eye/Face Wash Units and Combination Units shall be inspected annually to ensure conformance with the requirements of AS 4775.

The Standard sets specific performance and measuring criteria for fluid flow rates, Fluid temperatures, spray patterns, dimensions and accessibility all of which need to be checked annually.
